An eye for this detail is what led Michael Roach into the world of photography. Making the move from traditional tools to tools that are modern and digital has proven to be frustrating for many. It can also be refreshing, offering a new perspective and leading to avenue of expression.

It has been said that I am a loud and gregarious person, but most of my photography evokes a sense of quiet. I attempt to capture the chaos and beauty of my life and friends with a certain visual stillness that could be attributed to a delicate painting. My photographs serve the purpose of tangible memory.I will ride my bicycle as far west as the roads go to catch the sun before it goes down.

Amy V. Cooper is a portrait and fashion photographer currently working out of her Brooklyn, New York studio. Born and raised in Louisiana, you can take the girl out of the bayou but you can¹t take the crepuscular Sally Mann south or Faulkner influences out of the girl. Mostly introverted, Amy uses photography and painting to bring a voice to her fight for human rights and attempts to illustrate what it feels like as a female growing up in the bible belt. Amy¹s dream is to re-elect Al Gore back into office while voting in four inch Christian Louboutin mary janes.

The subject matter of much of Rob's art is dark urban settings, much influenced by his love of dilapidated cityscapes and the amount of shape and texture therein. Using traditional photographic techniques, lot's of cutting and wheat-pasting, silk-screening and spray painted stencils all layered upon themselves he manages to create these images and add an amount of depth to each one before coating them thoroughly in glorious Bull's-eye shellac. Most of the more recent work revolves around a series of animal portraits done using hand-cut stencils with various wood stains on birch wood luan as well as silkscreened / spray painted landscapes that depict a more graphic or "noir" scenery.

My work is a collision between street photography and abstract art. I am in essence a street photographer. No pre-visualization or set ups, just quick grabs of moments in time that appeal to my visual sensibilities. But once the captured image meets up with the editing software on my computer, it quickly deviates from the street photography genre into the

A photograph is the affirmation of a moment in time. as cartier-bresson said, each click of the shutter is saying "yes!" i try to say yes as often as i can. people ask what is that a picture of, i say it's not a picture of anything, it's a photograph, an entirely new object. they work just as well on a museum wall as they do as coasters. "eat all you want, we'll make more.

I am a photographer, specialized in street photography and I live in Saarbrücken, in the southwest of Germany, near France. In the 90s I mainly worked in the studio, specialized in experimental photography and in 1997 I published a book about trick photography. For many years, I also work as a lecturer (University of Saarland, seminars and workshops in adult education institutes). The main subject of my photography is the day-to-day life and I love to take photos of people (or animals) in funny situations I was inspired from photographers like Elliott Erwitt, Gary Winogrand and Henri Cartier-Bresson.

Sometimes taking a picture is like shoplifting; trying to slip a sweet moment into your pocket and walk out of the store with it. EXU is two thieves, a Brit and a Yank, who met in Australia and ended up on a year-long trip around the world. Angus was born in Kenya and trained as an engineer-he's all cool and calculated and has the patience to wait for exactly the shot he wants (damn him). Mitch grew up in the Rockies and went to journalism school-my shots are generally underexposed and blurry, because I never feel like schlepping the tripod. But sometimes when we empty out our pockets we find little candy-coated pieces of art.

In 1995, I was diagnosed with cancer. Going through the labyrinth of modern health care, I decided I wanted to know what I looked like as a MRI impressionist. So, I have been practicing on myself in this fresh art form. As my wife say of me. "Ken don't think much of himself, but that is all he thinks about."

Jack lives in Los Angeles, California. More specifically, the valley... porn capital of the world. I'm going to college here for Cinematography. Light has interested me from a young age and I naturally was drawn to photography. Photography is a duly appropriate art for someone as visually influenced as me. But I am a man of many influences and trades, however, visual imagery has a special place in my heart. Everyone loves to look at interesting photos, but the feeling people get for looking at other peoples photos is only superseded by the feeling garnered by gazing upon your own art.

The city of New York looms large in Grégoire Ganter's photography. Born in France, Grégoire moved to New York as a child and was soon inspired to capture the city. He chose photography, and specifically photographic collage to document the city's ever changing architecture. His alphabet series was inspired by the birth of his first daughter in 2003 and is geared towards education and decoration. He captures letters and images throughout his travels and re assembles them to illustrate the alphabet.

My paintings and drawings confront the viewer with surreal faces composed of disparate geometric forms. Though largely improvised, each is carefully honed to evoke the psychological presence of its subject. I hope that in meeting the gaze of these alien faces, with their invocations of psychic fragmentation and wholeness, the onlooker will find some part of his or her own self reflected.

Jeffrey Roos is a wanderer. His work is the same way —from simple everyday scenes, to the abstract explorations of space, color, and texture- to installation pieces, digital artwork, photography, and film— flowing from places that are unexpected and seemingly unrelated. This provides a variety in his work, as it is his mission to capture the creative spirit in order to create visual media that has substance and importance.
