My photos are directly inspired by my passion for travel.
In discovering parallels across vast distances, I endeavor to create mementos of a unified human experience. My observations illustrate the similarities between places, people and time, as reminders of the totality of the human race, a planet free of political or cultural boundaries.
I explore the surreal potential of the locations or document the unexpected. I do not stage, aiming at a real moment inspired by the surroundings
In photographing details, I focus on the fragments of life often overlooked, minutiae of aesthetic, philosophical or cultural value passed by.

Most people don't call him Patron Vectras, but he is fine with that for now.
Given a picture, he will peer into it and hopefully find something that the picture can be transformed into. Sometimes the picture will yield many versions... the picture does not always comply...

"Signs" - This piece represents and reinterprets Britain’s past through the venerable telephone booth. An iconic symbol the world over, the simple red
telephone booth here is deconstructed and juxtaposed in four separate but interrelated photographs. As a symbol the telephone booth is dying out now
that everyone has a mobile phone but it is a powerful cultural icon deserving of our attention.

I am an installation artist, book-binder, photographer and curator who, through the use of text, photographic documentation and audience participation, investigates notions of archiving and repetitious actions, such as typing and printing, by exploring the role of the artist as a curator, and participants as collaborators.
Order, obsession, repetition and form where the simplicity is the complexity.

Excerpts from New Directions in Jewellery II
Jewellery is rarely overtly associated with the political; it is more commonly perceived as a decoration or frivolity, a luxury, an addition to the necessity of clothing—something worn for its aesthetic value. Yet any consumer item has a history of manufacture, from the sourcing of materials, through production, to distribution, which is shaped in part by socio-economic forces. Shari Pierce’s work, titled Cardboard Democracy addresses the history of exploitation and present political climate in both material, execution and concept. This fragility is reflected in the materials she employs—cardboard, wire, found house paint, second hand clothes —

These are photos I have taken while stoned. Hopefully they can capture a little bit of how fun it was to take them. Beyond that, I don't know what to say.

I am fascinated by the mundane details of everyday life. If you look quickly you can miss the beauty.
I use my photography to free my mind, as if by meditation.

My work is about that failures and slippages of meaning that arise in the production of fine art objects. I feel that it is when a work of art fails, when it unintentionally ruins the subject it means to exalt, that it most poignantly underscores the basic impulse behind its creation: the often-fraught and infrequently-realized desire to communicate something of one's own understanding of the world and to locate oneself in history.

I am most content walking the streets snapping pictures and doodling in my notebook, discovering more about myself and the world around me.

“Everyone is interesting in their own way...and I want to capture that,”.
Samantha’s portraits — evocative images of sprightly fire-twirlers, praying
motorcyclists, hip-hop musicians in preppy clothing — show diversity and humanity, the story of an idividual’s life, an ironic situation that someone faces.

In my portraits, I try to capture the in between moments where my subjects seem to be both completely immersed in their interior worlds while also attmepting to connect with the outside world. The landscapes are attempts to picture these interior world and suggest dramatic events that are not described nor explained.

I am fascinated with capturing static scenes of silence...you will not find dynamic "everyday life" images in my portfolio. Projects rooted in stillness and tranquility are what I'm drawn to and create. Originally trained in traditional photographic technique, my process has devolved into a very organic and personal approach to my subjects. My tools are a Nikon DSLR system, my Medium Format TLR, a bulletproof Nikon FM, & my grandfather's 1930s 35mm Leica. Recent published work includes "Late Check-Out" - a monograph detailing my multi-year study of the abandoned Ambassador Hotel in the years leading up to it's demolition.

I'm growing up in a world of closed-minded people, where materialistic is everyone's middle name. I like to look at things differently. Find the art in the them. The inspiration they deserve. I'm 14 years old and I'm trying to change the way people view art. It's more than black and white and perfect pictures. It's reality.

Canadian born artist and photographer. I'm a 40 year old photographer, I've been doing creative photography for the past 15 years. But it's only been the last 8 years that I've started to really settle into a personal style. I paint as a hobby, but I find nothing more calming than discipline of frame. I've also got a dozen music videos to my name. With video I tend to experiment more.
I'm sacrificed my personal life to be a full time photographer, so yes, I'm single. I've got quite a following online, and I use the input from fans to really bring out new and interesting works.
