Evan Peelle feels that art is the grandest form of communication, both simple and complex, subtle and direct. Evan strives to create emotionally-charged, powerfully expressive works of fine art that expand his clients’ identities. Each expertly crafted piece is the inspired product of Evan’s mind, heart, and spirit, brought to life on canvas by his patient, talented hands. The artist uses his seductive palette to sculpt the paint into a distinctive mood for each of his works.

I am a self-taught artist from the Mississippi Delta. My media include painting, mosaic, drawing, collage and assemblage. I strive to create art that is subtle and expressive, but I often end up producing work that is political in nature. My political art is usually aimed at Fundamentalism or the corporations that control our media and government. To that extent, I consider myself to be working in the tradition of the Southern evangelical folk artist. My childhood was rural, Southern and Mormon. The archetype of the prophet figures largely in my work.

One of the most socially significant outcomes of the PC revolution over the last couple decades is that regular people are now able to create various media at home on their computers: music, films, books, and, of course, art.
I use this last word loosely in my own case, because I have no idea exactly WHAT I'm creating here, but I'm having a hell of a good time doing it. And if other people want to call it art, that's fine by me.

My paintings are a mental and physical escape from control and predetermination of digital art. I work big for optimum mental catharsis and to capture the juxtaposition of weird messages entering my brain at a specific point in time. My goal is to create psychedelic mandalas that draw the eye in and send the gaze off on ever-branching paths. In the same vein my digital works are more straightforward illustrations of pin-up girls, and cartoon characters juxtaposed against primordial symbols and pop culture icons as an investigation into the primal iconography of mass media.

I solve problems.
I think abstractly.
I make decisions.
I work intuitively and iteratively when creating art. I place a line to paper and allow it to inform the next line. As form develops, I continue down the path that is indicated by what is on the sheet. By observing human behavior, asking generative questions, and analyzing information, I experience how an iterative process leads to comprehension of complex data and ideas. I use my artistic sensibility to present the research findings in unique and compelling ways, and I'm pleased that my expertise in creating art, mixed with my research skills produces a harmonious balance.

I like telling stories through the mixing of media, as I tend to have more ideas than I have time for.
Using pen, pencil, charcoal, watercolor and digital, found objects and vintage ephemera - I use anything, everything available to me in order to bring my thoughts into visible, sometimes tangible form before they fade. I enjoy darker fantasy genres, strange-fiction, speculative fiction, which leads my works to be most often classified in the steampunk genre - though I don't see it.
I simply want to make something that is old in appearance, or perhaps spooky, usually a merging of the two, but always beautiful in some way.

Figurative painting is to show the observer something, which seems to be there and which reminds him of things existing or not existing. However everything only consists of colour on canvas. The aesthetic and technical quality of a painting should move the observer´s mind and give him a projection screen.

Often dreamlike and enigmatic, Christine Brennan's work features a host of symbolic and allegorical reference. Brennan's images draw from the unconscious, leading the viewer into richly-lit narratives that evoke personal stories and associations.
As a painter and printmaker, Brennan works in oil on paper or board and hand-colored linoleum block prints. Never setting out to illustrate a specific theme or story, the artist creates each image as she goes, changing and shaping it along the way. That each untitled image may call forth different interpretations is a balance the artist strives for.

I deal in rich colors and experimental use of watercolor to bring out the intensity of the subjects that I paint. Watercolor is traditionally a medium that appears washed out and lower contrast. I push the medium to places it hasn't been before.
I paint a wide variety of subjects because I am interested in a wide variety of things the world presents everday.
I take my emotions and thoughts and use paint as a translator to create my vision of the world around us.

Painting exists as a gateway for me, into an ever deepening realization that life is not to be taken too seriously. My work hinges on my personal belief that this is our only chance to do what we truly enjoy. In accordance with that theme, I delight in combining elements of conventional painting with the use of materials often drawn from my childhood that inspire and engage me, including for example, glitter, sequins, and origami paper. New relationships between colors, forms, textures, and ideas surface; these discoveries are the lifeblood and heart of my paintings.

To appreciate art requires only one of your senses and a soul. To create art there is no prerequisite other than the desire to record your world through your eyes. The artist's demise is taking himself or herself too seriously. Just tell your story and move on.

"UFOLOGY": paintings about the "Bigger Picture"
by Michelle Marie Murphy
The inspiration for these watercolor paintings came from web searched UFO photos. Although some of these images may leave the viewer with an obvious explanation; I would like the viewer to contemplate their own thoughts about life beyond Earth.
“Ufology” are painted from internet sightings of a cloud (resembling a UFO), a lens flare, the reflection of a hotel light in the window, and even controversially convincing photos of natural phenomena. Through this work, I hope to reveal the American optimism… that there is something bigger than us out there.
This series is for "believers” and skeptics alike.

My images are usually reflections of my state of mind, which sometimes is found lurching in the dark.

This work is comprised of a series of random interactions and gestures with no preconceived idea of what should exist on the canvas. Like trying to understand the subtle movements that create ripples in a lake, shifting sand or fierce thunderstorms I am interested in the implied movement inherent in the work on an unconscious level- the movement as filtered through the process of life experiences.

I am inspired by my environment and the people in it. My recent work looks at the idea of power; how we harness it and use energy for sustainability, progress and growth. I relate all of my inquiries through the human experience and our body language.

My work depicts awkwardly beautiful fantasy worlds, scenes that are defined absurdity and opulence. I am interested in translating the formal conventions of abstract painting through a contemporary romantic sensibility. This point-of-view embraces the drama of combining clashing materials, familiar but ambiguous imagery, and high and low cultural references.
