"Knights of the Templar" - The idea behind the piece is a fun poke at the typical golfer and to highlight golf’s roots in the British Isles. The true golf fanatic will seek out the perfect putting technique or the newest club that promises miracles. This “Quest” can become a search for their personal “Holy Grail” that will help them break 80. A little bit of fun at the expense of a links warrior. More about Scott Corkins & Transatlanticism »

"On Holiday"- What would happen if Boudica took a day off of fighting a bloody and violent war with the Romans? What would Godiva have done had she not decided to ride naked through town to appease her husband’s subjects? If they were given one day to come back and spend however they wished, I like to think they would have packed up and gone on holiday in Brighton. More about Chase Bowman & Transatlanticism »

I created the Lighter of the Month Club a year ago as a unique way to distribute my artwork. For a yearly fee members get mailed 4 stickers a month with a cool design perfectly sized for BIC lighters. Seattle members come to a pick-up-point once a month to hang out, see the new design, and pick-up real lighters. Subject mater ranges from science fiction to abstract, often with a subversive flair. All pieces, so far, are made with Adobe Illustrator, soon to include the mediums oil paint and collage. More »

    Paul Baines

Banksyeque introvert with a Warhol fixation returning to the art fold from a gutter career of graphic design and image branding. Offering a limited edition of iconic large scale indoor street art - firing ideological pot shots at post-modern pop-culture, mass-marketed faux-religious simulacra, and the void that is the human condition in the C21st. Once this series is complete there will be no more prints, although paintings will be available intermittently. More »

My art is a way to interact with my subconscious. I usually understand the meaning of them afterward, when the image is finished. It's like a dream that I need to decode and interpret. It's a therapeutic way of learning about myself and expressing my interpretation of beauty. I choose acrylic as my preferred medium. More »

"Imagination is illumination. It opens many pathways to the soul." My work focuses on imagination... my imagination in the fantastic. In this way, an artist is a chameleon, colorful, diverse and subliminal. I work in many mediums but oil and acrylic painting are magnetic. I derive much of my influence from music, human behavior and other artists. More »

The fictional landscapes inspired by places of travels – power the meaning behind my painting series “Golden Bird Landscapes” . Inspired by elements of nature. Filled with feather shapes, or small flowers covered with glossy golden paint, layered with transparency of think glossy acrylics. I wish for the imagery to come to live for the viewer, and capture a fragment of beauty in blooming flowers for example. Fascination with primary colors results in daring vibrancy and exuding energy. The symbolic shapes and free-floating colors, – playfully demonstrate abstract expression in the series of golden landscape painting. More »

When we compare Marcel Duchamp and Andy Warhol's era with the 21st Century, we're compelled to be flabbergasted at how sublime they've made the art world as they both challenged what was considered 'art', our hunger for consumerism, our idolization of certain people/objects, and particularly Andy's view that "everyone will be famous for 15 minutes"; we have to acknowledge the metaphorical kaleidoscope they've given our culture because it debunked the seriousness of the art world and embraced the use of hard edge, bursting with light and color techniques; this is what initially inspired me to become an artist and more particularly, to describe my artistic intent as "Nuclear Pop". Hands come as my inspiration. They are intriguing to me on a physical level, but perhaps more so on a metaphorical plane. I consider hands to be an extension of the heart or the concepts associated with the heart and emotion. They have become as intimate as a portrait, but more elusive. I have also spent time exploring music as a driving force for imagery. I've been involved with the punk and hard core scene since my teenage years and always had an attraction to the physical response that people have to music. I find the lyrics and music to be the motivation behind many of my paintings. More »

I do large-scale impressionistic abstract works, and also small intimate pieces, often collaborating the two. I constantly rework and break down each piece, building up layers with disparate fragments of collage and paint so my grounds become one with the finished artwork. Everyday I must be in my studio or I deny myself the chance of something happening, a thread, an idea that I can work with. I embrace the work, really believe in it, run with the process and when it is finished, leave it for the viewer to question and move on. More »
