I love working with non-traditional and ephemeral media, but one of my favorites is the Etch-a-Sketch (which, it turns out, is less ephemeral than you may think). I draw with the knobs and then remove the aluminum powder so the Etch-a-Sketch won't erase. I've also been known to carve custom-designed jack-o'-lanterns and to sit in a large cardboard box selling postcard art.

I believe art transcends all language and is the ultimate means of preserving a generation, and even an age. If done write it can even influence the direction civilization takes in moving forward. Take the Renaissance for instance. This movement in art and human complexity brought us from the dark ages into the modern times, and no movement to date has impacted us in such a global and irreversible way. I don't expect to become the next DaVinci, but I do hope to bring the subcultures of the world to the forefront of accepted society through the print industry and the Graphic Design medium.

Louis F. Cuffari, Art Director and Cofounder of Insomnia Creations, has spent most of his life as a studio artist. Cuffari's creative works also expand extensively into graphic design for which he has received awards for his creativity. He has worked on several motion pictures and animations in the faculty of producer and art director. I am an urban/graffiti artist. I write DENIAL. I work mostly in Windsor Ontario Canada and Detoit MI. I use traditional spray paint technics as well as intriquite stencils to accomplish my works. I use a winyl plotter and digital laser cutter to cut my stencils. I have also engraved into wood canvases before painting them. My subject matter is usually very personal or politically driven.

I am photographing myself and others performing various emotional reactions to uncertain causes. These images are inspired by my past experiences as a professional in the IT industry's public and private sectors. Within the industry I observed a lot of uncertainty about job security and the customer's whim. For me this was the opposite of an expectation of mine, fostered by my middle-class upbringing, that corporations were stable organizations an individual could depend on for a living. I believe that this situation in America contributes to a larger sense of uncertainty concerning morality and our responsibilities at home and abroad.

I am not a photographer or a narcissist, but a performance artist with a camera. Using a combination of light, makeup, wigs and physical nuance I create a multiplicity of identities and freeze them in the still photograph. I want to push the boundaries of what I define as self and other by playing with ideas of identity, gender and archetype and the myriad ways in which they can be represented. I am inspired and fascinated by all of the subtle variations in mood and character that human beings are capable of.
