Tessa Scott grew up on the green pacific islands of New Zealand where she trained in painting at the University of Canterbury and later design and illustration at the Sydney Design Institute, Australia. Scott's illustrations celebrate her love of colour combined with her interest in psychology & people. She creates intriguing figurative images with a charmingly surreal quality. Tessa Scott has an MA in Creative Writing and is currently writing and illustrating a collection of fairytales for adults. She has lived and worked in Germany since mid 2006.

Born in Oslo, Norway, Ben Jelter lives in San Francisco where he works on illustration and sequential art. Ben also instructs classes on figure drawing, character design and comics at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He has received multiple recognitions and awards from the Academy of Art and the Society of Illustrators including the Academy's Best of Sequential Art award and the Society of Illustrators' Norma and Alvin Pimsler award.

My dollar bill collages, inflatable sculptures, and other highly conceptual works – reflect upon the confluence of money and power throughout history, and in particular considers current US attitudes that have filtered down from Westward Expansion and notions of Manifest Destiny. The result is a political and cultural critique that encompasses not only the shifting cultural changes that have taken place within my lifetime but also those throughout US history.

My work is a reaction to moments in which I was forced to question my understanding of reality. It is an investigation of the connections between seemingly disparate phenomena. I often find myself in awe of serendipitous moments or paralyzed by coincidental tragedies that have unfolded in a fated synchronicity. Here, imagination triumphs and gives birth to the binding threads of connectivity between otherwise spurious relationships. My images flaunt far-fetched connections prolonging these moments of possibility in the face of inaccuracy and absurdity.

My "Reflection" work is a reaction to a career of manipulating images and sounds. After struggling to find a way to create truly unique video art, I went to see a film by a director whose work I had previously found difficult to follow. I noticed sitting down the row was a painter I admired. At that moment I made a conscious choice to watch the film as a painting. It was an amazing experience, filled with meaning and metaphor. Realizing what an effect one's frame of mind has on how the human brain processes information. I ran home, pulled a painting out of a frame on my wall and mounted the monitor to the frame.

Artist by nature all my life born to be creative in every way.... painter, dancer, performance, music/sound, sculpture, video, poetry...screenplays, indie films you name it I've tried it. In my creative process I express the deepest darkest ideas of the mind, soul and body by using situations, figures and artificial shapes to emulate nature in a futuristic way. I also use layering, transparency and texture to express these ideas...whether societal, emotional or political.

I find myself exploring themes of loss, ennui and disillusion through layers of drawings, using often humorous symbols and characters based on my professional output - painting and repainting the surface as the ideas manifest during the course of the process. I have painted on canvas before, but I found my previous technique of simply projecting smaller sketchbook drawings and then filling in the gaps was far too limiting. I've since started drawing straight onto the canvas, layering with several different media- pencil, acrylic, ink, oil stick, charcoal, coffee, collage, tippex. Essentially I'm now freely drawing onto the canvas, sketching, creating ideas and images as I go along.

My work blurs the boundaries of the two and three-dimensional through various techniques and materials. Seemingly flat lines and forms protrude into space. Caught in this spacial ambiguity, the starkly silent, yet distinctly present characters appear aware of their odd predicament. Devoid of context and stripped of external identity, they are portraits of souls - ageless, anonymous, and solitary. Their longing stares serve as a mute communication from which a distinct visual and psychological intimacy emerges.

I believe the most mundane subject matter can be transformed into art. My technique is a unique combination of found imagery, personal photography, paint and other materials. I like to think of it as appropriation art. Many of my works are emulsion transfers on materials such as wood and metal. I also print images on to canvas and paint into and over them.

Zoltron is an enigma. A self proclaimed 70's teen idol, Zoltron's wave hairdo and unique California accent epitomized a certain level of cool, which inevitably paved the way to his success as a graphic designer, poster and street artist, pretend photographer and vinyl sticker aficionado. Zoltron is the founder and creative director of the infamous self-titled design company as well as notorious silkscreen sticker printing company, Sticker Robot. Zoltron's artwork has been shown across the country, published in magazines, both nationally and internationally and was once called, "Pretty heavy" by a transient who was urinating on a dumpster, as Zoltron walked by.
