My passion is creating animal portaits. I am inspired by the animals in our lives, and this is my way of giving back to them. Working with mostly charcoal, pencil and Oil paint, Istrive to paint or draw each hair or spot on an animal, trying very hard to get a true likeness. My goal is to reflect the personality of each animal and place them in a composition that undoubtedly gives them the respect all animals deserve. I also have been interested in the fantasy world and love to create faeries in a new way. Whether it be the composition and subject of how my faries are created, I find a mystical connection to these beings.

In a single image I like to try and evoke the feeling of being in that image. Creating little worlds for characters that don't quite fit there is one of my favorite themes. My work involves animals a lot of the time. Critters seem to add to the whimsy of the scene. I work as a freelance illustrator as well, and always enjoy translating other other peoples words and ideas into imagery. Pen & ink using Photoshop to color is how I create 80% of my work, but I love painting in all different mediums as well. Pen & ink allows me to add lots of detail. I really enjoy hiding little things in each drawing for the viewer to find as they look closely. Look closely.
