I am inspired by my environment and the people in it. My recent work looks at the idea of power; how we harness it and use energy for sustainability, progress and growth. I relate all of my inquiries through the human experience and our body language.

I draw comic books. I am not ashamed of this. I try to focus on the interaction between characters, and people. I want you to feel what the people on the page are going through just as much if not more than a photograph or film. I also enjoy drawing kickass women doing badass things.
I primarily work in brush and pen and digital color.

My only goal is to make myself laugh. If I can create a piece that elicits even a small chuckle then I'm satisfied. Plus, that small moment of joy distracts me from the paralyzing sense of sadness and hatred I have for myself and everyone around me. That includes you...jerk.

Art does not need to be deep. If I like a subject, I paint it. If I like a color, I use it.
Art is a way of expressing life's complexities AND simplicities.

I mainly use line, pattern, and repetition to craft my many messages into tangible artistic expressions. Currently, my creative aventures have been bringing me towards working with human socio/psychological issues, such as sexuality, morality, and obsession. Each piece has many meanings to reflect the different faces of the human psyche. My newest project revolves around a set of mixed media paintings which depict various American serial killers. This series will discuss America's obsession with these dark figures (how we glorify them), and it will act as a catalyst between the construction of moral/social taboos and the desensitization of American youth culture.

The name of the series from which these pieces come is called "Place". My obsession with abandoned homes, offices and industrial buildings combined with the current real estate crisis has provided inspiration.
Once I get these images out of my system I will return to my plein air work in the NJ and PA countryside.

In my work, I explore inter-personal relationships and the effect of an individual's actions on the surrounding human landscape. I am an observer, a listener, a story collector, seeking out the details in the patterns and cycles of our lives. The Direct Action Art Project featured here, is work that disrupts its audience forcing a shift in thought and perspective, causing a new series of events to unfold. These original
mixed media and silkscreen collages will replace ads on the F-train. A kind of removable graphitti, the viewer will find the works placement unexpected and even slightly invasive. Ultimately commuters are the "judges" of the work, as they can remove them to destroy them, keep them for themselves, or allow other's to enjoy them. Direct Action Art is a catalyst for thought and action.

Inspired from his architectural and design background, Ted is drawn to the depth of objects and atmospheres caused by the various glow and reflections of light. He is also inspired by the beauty of organic textures, simple silhouettes, industrial objects, strong patterns and graphics. His work is grand enough for a gallery, but he feels it should be displayed in homes and shared with those who pass through yours. It is his passion to design art work that he is proud of, but more importantly art work that inspires and delights his clients. Other works include video & digital artworks.

The dreamscape of children - toys and play, misinterpretation and wonder, icons of fun and dread, random intrusions, rules and authority, errant words and symbols, wandering furniture, animated animals, games real and imagined, the unknown other - all bound and divided with string painted in, like a window, or dissected present.

I am a

I am an illustrator currently based out of Atlanta Georgia. I enjoy creating images that make people smile and normally draw inspiration from scenes in my daily life. I take ordinary subjects and give them a whimsical and sometimes comical spin in effort to charm my audience. My preferred medium for illustration is watercolor, though I also enjoy painting in Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter. I like my work to show brush strokes because it displays my hand working within the piece. I try to avoid making my work too tight because then I tend to loose the painterly quality that I feel sets my work apart.

Danny Jock is a comedian, gourmand and illustrator. Graduating from Parsons School of Design in 1997, Jock travelled through Southern California, the Midwest and Upstate New York for five years before returning to New York City. His drawings are a hilarious odyssey through suburbs, dive bars, theme parks, vets clubs and all-you-can-eat buffets. From his envelope-sized snapshots of strangers on the streets to his large, collage-like pieces, his subject is hungerÑfor food, drink or loveÑand the mess of a world created by pursuing fulfilling those hungers. Jock draws his inspiration from slackjawed and bullheaded Americans in all their beautiful, sad and comical postures.

Adam Grossi is an interdisciplinary artist who uses image-making — painting, drawing, and printmaking — as a backbone for his explorations of cultural and environmental dynamics in the United States. His work is a response to the ways in which cultural value is depicted in mainstream environments. His process incorporates advertising, illustration, communication design, and the language of painting. He sees his artistic practice as a part of a larger creative movement to redefine our collective understanding of the world around us and our methods of cultivating its growth.

Timothy Pigott's puzzles, Polaroids, and portraits are influenced by people he meets, the post office, public transportation and parking lots. "Trying new stuff is the best. Mostly I like other people out there who are trying to have fun with it. Those are the people I end up exchanging artwork with and getting excited about." He lives in Chicago. Send him ink pens.

Craig Bevelheimer currently resides in
New Jersey, where he specializes in motion graphic and print solutions. Raised on a healthy diet of art, his design comes in different forms and in various materializations. For almost a decade, it's been Craig's policy not to apply standard templates to any commercial broadcast work. Every project begins with a thorough understanding of the client's business and an analysis of their needs. His mixed bag of tastes has allowed him to approach design from a smart engaging perspective; and to enjoy sharing the results. Many of today's top corporations and agencies depend on his creative ideals and energy. Craig also enjoys speaking in the third person.
