My dollar bill collages, inflatable sculptures, and other highly conceptual works – reflect upon the confluence of money and power throughout history, and in particular considers current US attitudes that have filtered down from Westward Expansion and notions of Manifest Destiny. The result is a political and cultural critique that encompasses not only the shifting cultural changes that have taken place within my lifetime but also those throughout US history. More »

It is true what they say about the light in New Mexico - it is AMAZING! I have lived here about twenty years and continue to be inspired by the "Land of Enchantment". I use line, color form and a boldness in my work -very energetic and sometimes not very pre-meditated. I like to work abstractly and I also use metaphorical images based on the land and the animals, like Cut Throat Trout or Wild Dog. I like to use a variety of materials, like colored pencils, oil paints, oil pastels and even acrylics to form a melding of color, line, energy and myth. I am independent and don't let anything dictate what I should make. Rather, I like to approach it from the intuitive place of knowing. More »

I am a self taught artist who works with oil a majority of the time. I do pencil sketches and mixed medium as well. Every piece of art that I have created has been a result of deep strong emotions that I felt at that time in my life. I have always been an artist since grade school, doodling on my class work. In high school I got into graffiti art. Inspired by my lack of interest and dread of school, my art from that time is very dark and demented. After graduating, I went on to oil painting. I have not looked back although I still incorporate spray paint in some of my pieces.
