My work explores a culture that is permeated by consumerism. My work is informed by the drawing and design techniques used in fashion illustration. The paintings I create incorporate photography, collage, and ideas and images from popular culture.

My paintings are figurative, usually done in oil on canvas. The figures in my paintings are meant to be expressive. My artwork embodies space, movement, pattern, design, texture, and color; as well as, lived experiences and self-reflexivity. Self-reflexivity is a process by which I critically examine the experiences (exterior and interior) that shape my everyday life and those that surround me.
