I'm a self taught artist working primarily in gouache and graphite. I hand stain my paper to evoke the feel of an old book or map.
I love mystical imagery, fairy tales. I want my paintings to evoke a story, perhaps unwritten or half-remembered.
I'm a gardener and draw inspiration planting and tending my garden. Images of flora recur in my work, framing a subject, occasionally appearing to grow through them. These symbolize creative fecundity, being penetrated by beauty or occasionally beside it and unaware.
I am also a musician. My visual art and music draw extensively from one another, lyrics often finding form in the art and vice versa.
