Need help slicing, dicing, and shrinking your images? Start here:
1. Grab some software
If you don't have access to Photoshop, you can edit your images in a free, open source program like Paint.NET (PC) or GIMP (Mac).
2. Crop to required dimensions
Images are accepted in the 300x250 size as well as optional 160x600, 728x90, and 800x250 sizes.
These dimensions are measured as WIDTH x HEIGHT, in pixels.
How To: Use the cropping tool to trim down a larger image. Even if the entire work doesn't fit, you can frame the most intriguing portion. If your image is smaller than the required size than please increase the canvas size to the required size and leave the extra space around your image black.
3. Reduce the file size
Each image file must be 39k or less.
How To: Merge any editing layers in the file and choose 'Save for Web' as a jpg. Then select the file weight that best compromises resolution and file size. In other graphics programs, save art as a jpg and reduce the compression manually.
4. Submit your art
