It is true what they say about the light in New Mexico - it is AMAZING! I have lived here about twenty years and continue to be inspired by the "Land of Enchantment". I use line, color form and a boldness in my work -very energetic and sometimes not very pre-meditated. I like to work abstractly and I also use metaphorical images based on the land and the animals, like Cut Throat Trout or Wild Dog. I like to use a variety of materials, like colored pencils, oil paints, oil pastels and even acrylics to form a melding of color, line, energy and myth. I am independent and don't let anything dictate what I should make. Rather, I like to approach it from the intuitive place of knowing.
