I was born in Omaha, Nebraska. Went to grade school in Kainta Rizal Philippines, High school in Brussels Belgium, and college in Springfield Missouri. I follow Diebenkorn's rules he wrote for himself on starting a painting and take direction from Alex Kanevsky who is a true master of paint. Kanevsky directed me to switch from my bizarre concoction of casein and egg tempera to just oil paint. He also gave me a proper appreciation for working from life. My subject matter is mostly people (friends, models, and crack hos) but I also do landscapes, interiors and some psychological sky things. Words to live by, by Stewart Copeland, "...and when the wombat comes, he will find me gone, he'll look for a place to sit.
